Descripción
Sumario:[EN] Digital filters are an interpersonal communication tool that the Internet provides us with, and whose unconscious use implies alienation, and may have consequences on the health of the users. In the tangible world, the positive reinforcement of patriarchal behaviors is manifested through social approval. The virtual world does not escape these dynamics and legitimizes certain appearances: likes produce dopamine, feed the algorithm and provide content filtering based on the tastes of the consumers. In the network there is no free choice. The entire research process on the repercussion that the excessive use of digital filters has on the mental health of society, as well as the visualities they reproduce and the consequent symbolic violence they exert on people's bodies, has its summary in this theoretical work.
