| Resumo: | [EN] This article presents a general scoop of the culture of the Castilian nobility during the Middle Ages and of the main common characteristics to other Hispanic territories and to the test of Western Europe. It is the reason why we study two basic aspects: on the one hand, the people in charge of education and the spaces specially meant for it and, on the other hand, the knowledge and techniques that the young noble gentlemen had to learn. In the first one, appears the character of the tutor, at least in the great families The weight of the intellectual tasks was probably reserved to a priest, as it was the use in the monarchy. The roya1 court, the seigniorial residence and the ecclesiastical and council schools accomplished also that function rowards the vassals, servants and urban elites. The documental news about the knowledge of specific characters, the and didactic referents and the first records of patronage stress the interest intellectual training, though the priority given to riding, was evaluated Castilian Low Middle Ages, especially during the XVth century. |
