Sumario:[EN] This paper analyses the documentation of the preliminary project of the Terraza Palace building, built by Antonio Bonet in Mar del Plata, Argentina, in 1958. Through the analysis of original plans and photographs preserved in the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Buenos Aires, the research reflects on collaboration in its design between Bonet and Ernesto Katzenstein, a fundamental figure in the development of contemporary Argentine architecture, especially through his teaching work. Far from assuming an imposition of concepts imported from European rationalism, this building, innovative in its formal conception, turns out to be a key piece of modern architecture in Argentina through which the rich architectural connections between both sides of the Atlantic can be understood.
