Descripción
Sumario:[EN] This text contains the opposite side of the polemic about the reconstruction of the Embajador Vich Palace courtyard from that expounded in the previous article. The author justifies the need for this intervention as he sees it as an architectural retrieval of a lost memory, not only of the extraordinary Renaissance courtyard but also of the Gothic refectory in the former Convento del Carmen, and furthermore defends the great quality of the disassembly and reassembly operation. The staff of LOGGIA wishes to be the forum for a debate about this subtle controversy involving concepts like disassembly, de-restoration, ransferral, re-creation or reconstruction of scattered fragments of our built heritage.
