| Sumario: | The present research, Mexican intellectuals and the identity myth. Conquest, Hispanophilia, indigenism and miscegenation (1917-2019), is proposed to examine the works of the most important Mexican intellectuals regarding identity myths. The underlying hypothesis is that this study will contribute to clarifying a good number of questions about their works, configured in different genres - the essay, the novel and even theater– and under different approaches –from Hispanism to indigenism.
