We have analyzed examples extracted from dictionaries (mostly DIEC2) and 1.750 forms picked out from the literary narrative and press texts of the Corpus textual informatitzat de la llengua catalana (CTILC). By analyzing these examples and the context in which they appear, we establish the boundaries between literal and figurative meanings, and we show that the frequency of use of each verb is different: some figurative meanings are more prominent than others, both from a general pint of view and from the kind of texts analyzed. The results obtained in this work serve to thicken the corpus of data on perception verbs in different languages in terms of the presence, use and distribution of certain meaningsAquest treball se centra en l’estudi dels significats vehiculats per dos verbs de percepció visual en català central (veure i mirar) des del marc teòric de la semàntica cognitiva amb un objectiu doble: (i) analitzar-los i descriure’ls per establir-ne les projeccions semàntiques metafòriques i metonímiques; i (ii) determinar la distribució intralingüística dels significats no prototípics d’aquests verbs. S’han analitzat exemples extrets de diccionaris (majoritàriament, DIEC2) i 1.750 formes obtingudes a partir del buidatge de textos de narrativa literària i premsa del Corpus textual informatitzat de la llengua catalana (CTILC). Mitjançant l’anàlisi d’aquests exemples i del context en què apareixen s’estableixen les fronteres entre significats, literals i figurats, i es mostra que la freqüència d’ús de cada verb és diferent: hi ha sentits figurats més prominents que d’altres, tant des d’un punt de vista general com tenint en compte el tipus de textos analitzats.
