Sumario:The traditional windmills are unique constructions of the traditional architecture that belong to the Industrial Patrimony and that are not useful for the present society since they have disappeared the ways of life to which they were tied, reason why it facilitates the abandonment and the not conservation of the same. As an alternative method of conservation, it is proposed to restore the operation of these windmills by providing them with a new use consisting of producing electrical energy through the renewable energy of the wind. This initiative would make it possible to recover and preserve what has not yet been lost from these constructions from the traditional Canarian industrial culture.
