Summary:We present an investigation carried out with adolescents from different cultural contexts and sex in order to analyze the similarities and differences in the profile of television consumption (television preferences, permanence, alternative activities) and the family context (parental mediation and family climate). These aspects have their relevance from the point of view of educational intervention related to the development of media competence.
