Logically when someone analyze a legal institLition, he mList do it on the legal soLirces that have SLirvived. BLit its fragmentary natLire and the possible interpolations make necessary an analysis of the mLiltiple references that have been conserved in other types of soLirces, SLICh as literary soLirces. In this respect, the works of one of the most important thinkers and philosophers of all time, as was Saint ALigstin, constitLite an immense soLirce that can help LIS to know how it was the real development of nLimeroLis sitLiations regLilated by the later roman law.
