Descripción
Sumario:[ANGLÈS] This thesis aims to show the feasibility from the point of view of sustainability, installing fiber reinforced plastic as an alternative to traditional piping system reinforced with steel bars. The work includes economic, environmental and social data for the two constructive solutions proposed for pipes. Note that there is extensive literature on the traditional reinforced concrete pipes, and various data were obtained and contrasted with those provided by various companies. However, given the limited use of p lastic fibers as structural reinforcement, data collection becomes more difficult. However, we have obtained data from the UPC in which demonstrates the feasibility from a structural point of view, the use of polypropylene fibers as a reinforcing material in pipelines. This job is not an analysis of structural viability consider alternatives. Therefore, to more mechanical information the reader is referred to the bibliography collected at the end of this document. The document is divided into 6 chapters. In the first two the current state of use of reinforced concrete pipes, as well as fiber reinforced plastic is exposed. In chapter 3 the concept of multi - criteria decision, which serve to define the sustainability index, the main objective of this work is de fined. Chapter 4 contains the value functions of the involved economic, environmental and social indicators. In Chapter 5 different scenarios for which the index value is obtained associate sustainability arise. Finally in Chapter 6 presents the conclusion s of this work.
