| Resumo: | This study analyzes the Electronic Word Of Mouth (eWOM) in the tourism sector through TripAdvisor and Booking.com. The aim is to check whether the criticism about the lack of veracity of TripAdvisor reviews are grounded by comparing the rankings of the five Spanish cities hotels with Booking.com. The results show that there is a correlation between the two rankings, indicating that falsification and manipulation of TripAdvisor reviews is not characteristic, as well as the higher category hotel the better position in the ranking and, the quantity of reviews affects the position in the ranking. |
