Sumario:This paper defines intermediality based on its implications in the construction of meaning. For this purpose, we review the transtextual typology developed by Genette, which is updated through the typological proposal of transreferentiality. These theoretical approaches are applied to the analysis of the inclusion of advertising in contemporary Spanish poetry.
