Sumario:The causal epidemiology of papillomavirus pathology in man and its incidence and the status of its preventive activity in Spain are described, which does not conform to the recommendation that scientific evidence has formulated and that many countries in our environment are following. Lines of action are detailed in this regard that are considered preferred from the point of view of health political action.
