Sumario:[EN] The alluvial conglomerates of the Sant Miquel Formation, deposited during the Priabonian (upper Eocene) in the SE margin of the Ebro basin, are a classic example of progressive unconformity or growth strata. Recent works have shown that the relationships and geometries formerly interpreted as associated to this kind of setting are related to other very different processes and elements. However, in areas close to Vallespinosa it has finally been possible to describe geometries attributable to a progressive unconformity and growth strata related to the folding of the NW margin of the Catalan Coastal Ranges and demonstrating the clear syntectonic character of the Sant Miquel conglomerates Fm
