Sumario:From the moment the first news program aired in the only television outlet that existed in Spain in 1957, up to its consolidation from 2010, this communication media has developed at the same rapid speed as society and technology. The aim of this article is to determine whether audiovisual newscast language and audiovisual language have been decisive factors in the definitive transformation of daily newscasts and how these newscasts have changed as society and new generations have adapted themselves to the multiscreen format, the universalization of audiovisual products, and the growing demand for and consumption of news, entertainment, and fiction.
