Resumo:Waters in carbonate materials have often been classified on a hydrogeologic basis. The significance of each grouping in understanding the geochemical processes acting in the aquifer dependents on the classes having a distinctive chemistry. A set of forty chemical analyses of waters from the Sierra de Gador were grouped on a hydrogeologic basis; these groupings were tested by a principal components analysis and checked by discriminant analysis
