| Sumario: | A professional writer with an outstanding career in Catalonia during the 1920s and 1930s, the journalist Manuel Brunet i Solà (Vic, 1889-Figueres, 1956) played an important part in the Empordà press of the post-war. Refugee in Castelló d'Empúries and Figueres since 1939 -from where he commented on international politics in the magazine Destino-, he participated in cultural activities and periodic local publications and, above all, taught the young generations of Empordà journalists of the time. This article revises his influence which his followers have not left unrecognised |
