Resumo:[EN] This work's objective is to demonstrate the existence of positive relationships between social media usage, crowdsourcing tools and organizational learning and performance. The premise that motivates the investigation, proposes that usage of new technologies as the ones included in social media has direct influence on organizational efforts to capture and use knowledge in ways that make a positive difference on their results and performance. This premise is supported by a theoretical framework presented in chapters 1, 2 and 3 of this thesis, where we identified the relations among the variables from the point of view considered in previous works by different authors. Effects of organizational learning are analyzed from a mediating variable perspective. That is, over the idea that organizational learning works as a catalysis agent that allows transforming organizational strategies to leverage information obtained from social media and crowdsourcing projects and activities. An empirical study was done over a group of companies from Biotech and Telecom sectors in Spain. This study included a number of questionnaires whose measurement scales were confirmed by validity and fidelity parameters and their results also validated. Conclusions of this work add new knowledge to the study of social media tools and the way to use them in order to gain useful information and learning to positively impact organizational performance.
