Sumario:The purpose of this chapter is to highlight the War of the Spanish Succession from a focus of study significantly social. A conflict that has been traditionally approached from both military, political or strictly adhered to the study of the candidates to the throne of the Spanish monarchy after the death of Carlos II without descendants. The possibilities of social mobility opened before those individuals immersed in the succession conflict were largely left out too. Those possibilities can explain in many cases the option adopted by each of them during the confrontation period, as we can observe through the study of small spaces like the city of Cuenca faded into the background when studying the war until now.
