Sumario:Data of the evaluation of the energy transfer through the stream food chain of the task 1.2 of the project Rivstress (PID2020-115708RB-C21). The data was collected in an experiment conducted in two different parts. First, leaf litter bags were placed in a Mediterranean permanent stream (Riera Major). The bags were then exposed to drying (by extracting the bags from the water to the streambank) and we finally transferred the bags to the effluent of a WWTP. After addressing the impact of both stressors on leaf litter quality, we performed a laboratory experiment with different shredders (two caddisflies: Ptamophylax latipennis and Sericostoma sp.; one gammarid: Echinogammarus longisetosus), measuring their consumption rates, feeding behavior, growth rates, metabolism and body condition. See Pinilla-Rosa et al. (2026; in press) for more detailed information. The data format allows to recreate every result presented in Pinilla-Rosa et al. (2026; in press). Four files present the data of leaf litter quality (mass loss, fungal biomass, C:N and lipids) and another four files present the data of shredders (RCR: relative respiration rates, RR: respiration rates, C:N and lipids) used to conduct Generalized Lineal Models (GLMs). In addition, two complementary files present the data of relative growth rates (RGR) of shredders used to conduct a PERMANOVA, and two files present the data of shredders consumption behavior used to conduct multinomial logit models.
