| Sumario: | This doctoral dissertation examines the inclusion and contribution of women in the elaboration and building of sustainable peace by showcasing the historical and institutional evolution of their role in implementing Infrastructures for Peace as a peace-building, conflict prevention and early warning mechanism. Moreover, it explores the successes, challenges and obstacles to an equal and inclusive implementation of Infrastructures for Peace through the specific case study of Kenya. Also, the potential key role played by communications for peace-building in enhancing effective and inclusive conflict prevention mechanisms is given specific attention. |
