Sumario:[EN] Shoe surface interaction is a key factor in tennis due to this is a very quick play. A poor friction normally will mean slips and lost points, and an excessive friction will probably cause injuries due to high loads in joints like knee and ankle. In this sense, the objective of the project coordinated by ITF and developed in collaboration with IBV, Sheffield University and INCOTEC, is to develop a device to evaluate shoe-surface interaction in tennis courts and to identify the optimum friction of clay surfaces.
