| Sumario: | [EN] Glove Device is a technical device linked to an interactive audiovisual application. Thedevice is to control sound and video by pressure on the fingertips. The glove contains four force-sensing resistor sensors, through which transmits the data sent to the application, which are analyzed and used to play sounds and videos. The sounds are sampled with piezoelectric sensors within the surrounding environment at home and in the city. The videos are selected from pornography, films and television commercials produced by western culture throughout the second part of twentieth century and continue on twenty-first century produced by the mass media. The main objective is to criticize western society in which we are immersed, where economic and possession of objects makes us obsessive and mechanized and making a questioning about the causality of the images generated by the culture and not audible sounds of the moment. In this way framing the visuals and sound like Oskar Schlemmer was did with DasTriadische Ballet in 1927 or Pierre Schaeffer with Concrete Music. Glove Device context is as a installation in which visitors must wear the glove for test the audiovisual application. |
