Sumario:This contribution analyses the topic of age discrimination in the workplace. After an introduction to the problem and a comparative analysis of the legal landscape in different states, the specific case of age discrimination in the context of German labour law, both before and after the C-518/22 judgment, is analysed. In particular, the judgment raises important questions on the compatibility between national legislation and the European legal framework, emphasising the delicate balance between protection against age and disability discrimination.
