| Resumo: | [EN] This article summarizes what was the movement of scientifi c exploration towards Spanish America throughout the 18th century, distinguishing between those expeditions of nature strictly scientist that had purposes combined with setting limits with Portugal and strategic areas of interest: the West Indies, the Strait of Magellan and the American Northwest Coast. Also studied the expeditions of botanical, commercial and health, including the Philippine world, until you reach the large expedition of Malaspina. |
