Sumario:New habitats in the face of the colonization of other planets arise from the innate motivation of human beings to “cross borders”, implicitly leading to the pursuit of scientific, technological and sociocultural advancement through the study and implementation of our capabilities along with the pursuit of development. Thus, Stephen Hawking found it necessary to “go where no one has ever gone before”, in order to be able to survive in the face of multiple “dangers and disasters”, so that designing and building on the basis of the needs of maximum safety, comfort and minimum energy consumption becomes necessary to meet, as Alvar Aalto (pioneer of modern architecture) said, “the full demands of a positive society”, these reflections helped us to design one of the ten finalist habitats in an international competition for the design of a future extraterrestrial habitat specifically designed to house human life on the Moon, named FOCARIS
