| Resumo: | [EN] Comparatives studies on the effect of several nitrogen fertilizers on the yield, protein, content and recovered nitrogen of corn (Zea mays) grown on a light sandy loam were made. In all instances the nitrogen fertilizers were aplied in two times: 1/2 plowed under and 1/2 broadcast after the plants were four feet high. The test cover Nitrosulfamon, Nitromoncal, Ammonium sulfato, Calcium cyanamide, Nitrosulfate and Sodium nitrate additions. The applications of 11O Kg. of elemental nitrogen per hectarea as Ammonium sulfate and Sodium Nitrate with 80 Kg/Ha. of Mg2SO4 gave maximum yields of grain and recovered nitrogen but the mínimum protein content. Cyanamide plus sodium nitrate and (NH4)2SO4 + NaNO3 -110 Kg. N/Ha.- were almost equally effective. Nitrosulfate and Nitromoncal where the less effective sources of the nitrogen compounds except when K2SO4 where replaced by KCl. |
