Taxa close to this species and recorded for this region are revised, and the following are excluded from the Iberian Peninsula: Cataglyphis viatica nigra (André, 1881) and C. altisquamis (André, 1881). Only the following are considered as valid: Cataglyphis velox Santschi, 1929, C. hispanica (Forel, 1903) and C. humeya sp. n. Keys and descriptions are given for these and their distributions and affinities are discussed. |
