| Sumario: | The six proposals presented have been developed during the 2020 autumn semester’s ETSAB Visiting Studio, which takes place in the 5th year of the Architecture Bachelor studies in the ETSAB school at Barcelona. Within this 2020 autumn semester the school was lucky enough to count on Juhani Pallasmaa and Josep Bunyesc to run the course together with Queralt Garriga, Jorge Blasco as technical advisor, Judit Taberna as drawing and representation advisor and Albert Comas and Cristina Marcos as assisting scholars. Thirty-four students developed proposals around the main theme of emergency forms of inhabiting a minimum space using wood as the sole construction material. Emergency was faced not only in humanitarian and social terms, but also urban, energetic, climatic and more. The unit had to be, for obvious reasons, minimal in terms of space, prefabricated, industrialised, groupable, sustainable and made of wood. |
