| Sumario: | This article brings together a hitherto unpublished text by the Spanish philosopher Manuel Sacristán Sacristán (1925-1985) on the book The Future of the French Communist Party, an essay by Waldeck Rochet (1969), then General Secretary of the PCF. In it, Sacristán's political motivations characteristic of his time can be observed, and they seem to prefigure part of the characterisation he would later make of Eurocommunism, where the firm defence of democratic values in Marxism is not incompatible with criticisms of certain political-institutional involutions in the field of the European communist parties of the time. |
