| Sumario: | In a previous paper (1) we described the oxidatíve-addition reactíons of mercury (II) halides to the trans-MÍCcF.,) (CO) (PPh3)2, órgano complexes, M = Rh, Ir, highiighting the greater stabiHty of iridium (III) complexes, whose Ir—CeFj bond remains unaltered throughout the reaction. Since halogens are even more efficient addition reagents, it was of interest to study their reactions with the above mentioned complexes. The results which we observed are somewhat different from those recently described for the same type of reactions (2). The differences may be partly due to the structural changes induced by the different nature of the solvents and the different worth conditions used. |
