Análisis de las palinofacies del Mioceno Medio de sondeos realizados en Madrid para la ejecución de obras públicas. Carretera M-607 a Colmenar Viejo

Sumario:The palynofacies of six core samples from two boreholes drilled in the Miocene Madrid Basin have been analysed. Lithologically, the main samples are dark brown to grey clay sands with black levels more argillaceous. The boreholes are drilled in the North part of the Tertiary basin and the studied materials may be correspond to distal facies of alluvial fans of the lower Unity of the basin. Only two samples are rich in "grana " and show high taxonomic biodiversity with palynomorphs well preserved. The palynological analysis represents an abondance of Angiosperm and Conifers' pollen with fungal spores and freshwater algae. In some cases amorphous phytoclasts are present. The kerogene type and the study of pollen, spores, fungi and other organic walled microplancton rests allow us to delimite different environments. Hillside, alluvial fan, lacustrine and marshy areas have been identified.
