Este es el objetivo del presente artículo, la búsqueda de indicios y datos que nos lleven a establecer el origen del protocolo. Vamos a poner un punto de partida, y, bajo nuestro punto de vista, abrir una línea de investigación clara para la disciplina de la organización de eventos. Para desarrollar este trabajo hemos empleado el método hipotético-deductivo y la herramienta de la revisión bibliográfica. Nuestra hipótesis de partida era la socialización humana, pero una vez descartada esta opción, la cooperación humana junto a la llamada revolución cognitiva, serán los hitos de la evolución del homo sapiens que permitirán el nacimiento del protocolo tal y como lo entendemos hoy en día. El lenguaje simbólico permitirá al ser humano crear mitos y leyendas que supondrán el elemento que mantenga unido a grupos numerosos de individuos. El protocolo (y los eventos) es la herramienta que articulará la celebración de los símbolos haciendo tangible aquello que pertenece a la imaginación colectiva humana.Any scientific discipline that wants to consolidate itself needs to know its origins. This is the goal of this article, the search for clues and data that lead us to establish the origin of the protocol. We will put a starting point, and, in our view, open a clear line of research for the discipline of organizing events. To develop this researching work, we have used the hypothetical-deductive method and the bibliographic review as a tool. Our starting hypothesis was human socialization, but once this option was discarded, human cooperation together with the so-called cognitive revolution, will be the milestones in the evolution of homo sapiens that will allow the birth of the protocol as we understand it today. Symbolic language will allow humans to create myths and legends that will be the element that holds together numerous groups of individuals.
