This identity comes from the priest’s constitutive relationship with Christ. This present study aims to analyze the many aspects of this relationship, taking into account that Christ is not only the temporary origin, but also the permanent foundation of the ministerial priesthood. Thus, the presbyter is described as a symbolicsacramental presence of Christ Head and Shepherd of the Church. |
