| Sumario: | [EN]MORALES VALVERDE, R. (1986). Cytotaxonomical notes on some Iberian and North African Thymus L. (Labiatae). Anales Jard. Bot. Madrid 43(1): 35-41 (in Spanish). The North African Thymus commutatus (Batt.) Batt., 2n = 30; Th. pallidus Cosson, 2/i = 30 and Th. willdenowii Boiss., 2/? = 30 have been studied karyologically for the first time. Th. alpestris Tausch ex A. Kerner and Th. longicaulis K. Presl are newly recorded in the Iberian Península. Five taxa of the section Serpyllum (Miller) Bentham: Th. alpestris Tausch ex A. Kerner, 2n = 28; Th. froelichianus Opiz, 2/i = S6; Th. longicaulis K. Presl, 2n=56; Th. praecox subsp. britannicus (Ronniger) Holub, 2n = 28 and Th. pulegioides L., 2/1=28 have been studied karyologically, with some comments on nomenclature, taxonomy and distribution. The new hybrid Th. x bractichina R. Morales and the new combinations Th. funkii var. sabulicola (Cosson) R. Morales, Th. x brachychaetus (Willk.) Coutinho nothosubsp. toletanus (Pau) R. Morales, Th. x hyeronymi Sennen nothosubsp. hurtadoi (O. Socorro & al.) R. Morales and Th. x viciosoi (Pau) R. Morales are proposed. |
