| Sumario: | [EN] Research on the Veranes Roman villa has included specific studies on its fundus, its productive potential and its size. The main idea is to consider that the whole villa can only be understood considering its territorial context in two senses: as part of the ager of a civitas and as a long-lived entity of settlement and rural exploitation. Thanks to a highly collaborative work, geoarchaeological, bioarchaeological and productive potential studies have been carried out, as well as a review of ancient texts, which can shed light on the organization of the villa’s fundus. A diachronic vision of the local evolution of spatial organization, supported by the parish map, cartography, medieval documents and toponymy also contributes to its characterization. |
