Descrição
Resumo:An experiment was performed with cultured mussels (Mytilus edulis galloprovincialis) in the Ria of Arousa, Galicia (NW Spain) under environmental conditions of temperatura, salinity and food availability in order to determine the effects of Marteilia refringens and Mytilicola intestinalis on absorption rate, absorption efficiency, and condition of the mussel. Heavy infestations by M. refringens caused a significative loss of the condition of the mussel.
