Sumario:[EN] This paper contains some remarks about the recent and important book on Ibn Hafsun by M. Acién. Those remarks are structured around four questions: what are the characteristics of the muwallad «rebels»?, which were the relationships between Ibn Hafsun and Christianism?, who were the free men sold in the lands of Ibn Hafsun?, were there Messianic expectations around the figure of Ibn Hafsun? Among the contributions of the present work there is a new interpretation of the term muwallad («muladi») within the Andalusi context: muwallad must have made referance in a first moment not to the convert to Islam (as it has been usually understood), but to the «arabized», to the accultured not necessarily islamized.
