Resumo:The objective of this research is to formulate a methodological proposal for the definition of inter-municipal guidelines for spatial and urban planning aimed at regenerating the historical centres of the hinterland. The methodology, tThrough the analysis of the urban planning tools in force or in progress, the methodology classifies the historical centres through criteria based on intrinsic characteristics, defined place values, and extrinsic characteristics, defined context values. Finally, urban facilities with an aggregative function for the settled communities are also considered. The model, which supports urban planning decisions, is applied to the historical centres of the Irno Valley. The classification allows makes it possible to differentiate the strategies best suited to their enhancement. © 2020, Dei Tipografia del Genio Civile. All rights reserved.
