Conclusions. As far as we know, only four cases with an infratentorial location have been reported previously, three in the cerebellum and one in the brainstem. The biology of congenital glioblastoma multiforme is not well known and, unlike glioblastoma multiforme in adults and children, mutations in the TP53 gene are uncommon. However, this is not associated with a more favourable prognosis.
