We show here different examples, both surveys of single monuments and applications of the available drawings to typological analysis and comparison of shapes and sizes that are useful for a better understanding of the architecture from al-Andalus.[ES]El dibujo como instrumento de análisis de la arquitectura del pasado, resulta indispensable en las labores de investigación. Su uso en nuestros trabajos sobre la arquitectura de al-Ándalus nos ha permitido generar un auténtico corpus de planimetría, a partir del cual se pueden desarrollar otros muchos estudios.
