The data arising from this series, combined with that offered by other documents of a fiscal or financial nature, provides us with the opportunity to determine approximately the Jew population figures in the town in the 15th century and how this community evolved in demographic terms until their expulsion in 1492. This analysis discloses the fact that the aljama in Cervera managed to overcome, at least relatively, the string of misfortunes that struck the Hebrew community in the Principality of Catalonia throughout the 14th century, particularly in the assault in 1391, and which became one of the most important in the country in the 15th century.[CA] Cervera ha tingut la sort de conservar un registre fiscal excepcional, el de la quèstia dels jueus, on apareix consignada la nòmina de caps de casa o contribuents de l'aljama que pagaren el tribut homònim durant bona part el segle XV. Les dades procedents d'aquesta sèrie, combinades amb les que ens ofereixen altres documents de naturalesa fiscal o financera, ens donen l'oportunitat de determinar quina era aproximadament la població jueva de la vila durant la quinzena centúria i com va evolucionar aquesta comunitat des del punt de vista demogràfic fins a l'expulsió de 1492. D'aquesta anàlisi es desprèn que l'aljama cerverina va saber sobreposar-se, si més no relativament, al seguit de batzegades que afectaren la comunitat hebrea al Principat en el decurs dels segle XIV, especialment al pogrom de 1391, i que esdevingué una de les més importants del país durant la quinzena centúria.Aquest article s’inscriu dins del projecte d’investigació «La conyuntura económica y demográfica en Cataluña a fines de la época medieval: análisis crítico de los indicadores fiscales y financieros» (ref.
