Sumario:This document contains the Supplementary Material to the article published under the same name. We outline the derivation of the Hamiltonian in the main text from first principles. During this process we also derive the general Hamiltonian for all cavity modes (including non-resonant terms) which could be useful for future investigations. We show how the inclusion of only the fundamental mode l = (0, 1, 1) is valid for the parameters considered in the main text. Finally we extend the model to include image dipoles, and show that the omission of these and nonresonant terms was valid in the main text.
