| Sumario: | This year 2020 is and will be marked, throughout history and worldwide, by the pandemic caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, better known as Coronavirus or Covid-19. This pandemic has shaken the normalcy we knew, and we shall adapt our daily lives to certain measures that have been limiting the freedom we were used to. One of the main taken measures has been to limit the movements and the meetings. Due to the measure of limiting the meetings, the works related to the notarial field have lost the face-to-face meeting (notary-interested) and have had to adapt with the current digital technologies. One of the main requirements before developing the notarial work is to verify that the person concerned is who claims to be. This verification is carried out by the notary using an identity document (e.g., Spanish DNI). The fact that verification must be performed during a video conference and not face-to-face decreases the degree of accuracy and, therefore, increases the likelihood of fraud. For this reason, this work aims to study facial recognition techniques using the emerging technology known as neural networks, in order to design and implement an application, with client-server structure, which aims to facial identification. Therefore, this application is intended, and has as its main purpose, to support the notary during the process of verifying the person when using a video conference. |
