Sumario:Active methodologies are a fundamental axis in the didactic process that the teacher exercises in his pedagogical space, being the one that guides and facilitates significant and lasting learning in the classroom. The purpose of this research was to develop active methodologies based on projects aimed at improving the teaching of mathematics in the students of the seventh year of the Basic Education school "Cacique Bartolomé Sancho". Part of a descriptive study and a quasi-experimental design; divided into three parts a pre test, the application of the proposal, post test; The research is based on the survey technique with its instrument the questionnaire, made up of items, with a Likert-type scale, to teachers and students, the instruments were validated with three experts.
