Sumario:The purpose of this study is to develop a business plan for monitoring the vehicles which focuses on the prevention and prediction maintenance using ITS (Intelligent Transport System) and telecommunications for people who have low or do not have knowledge about vehicle maintenance. Some managing tools like: PEST, SWOT or Five Porter Forces were studied for the design of the business plan. Subsequently, it made a general analysis about external and internal environmental factors related to vehicle business with the purpose of understanding the future benefits or problems while developing the project. After that, a project to link the system was done using the best practice guide PMBOK sixth edition. Finally, an economic analysis was carried out to calculate the probability that the business will be profitable through a financial sensitivity analysis. In conclusion, the automotive market in Ecuador is a strategic sector to invest. Therefore, the business model is based on reducing time and cost of both drivers and Auto Repairs, giving them the car diagnostic and linking themselves. The business is profitable since there is a probability of 60 percent to have a positive NPV in the next 5 years. To end, the business plan is feasible, and it is stable along of the time. Therefore, it is recommended to start with the implementation of the project.
