Sumario:In the experimental irrigation field of the Agronomy Faculty of UCLA (University Centroccidental Lisandro Alvarado, Venezuela), a study whose aim was quantify the water distribution and irrigation quality parameters was carried out using the normal distribution in a stationary sprinkler irrigation system during two crops or cycles of black bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.). Through 13 irrigation events, the Area Adequately Watered (AAW) was determined and it related to the application efficiency parameters (Efa), percolation losses, storage efficiency (Efal) and deficit (or water shortage). Results showed that Efal and percolation losses increased with rising AAW; while the Efa and the deficit decreased with the increase of the AAW.
