Sumario:The first days of October 2019 took place one of the largest mobilizations of the last decades in the country. The present study examines the intervention with graphic inscriptions in those days of protest. The political participation that graffiti had during the popular uprising in Quito is reviewed. This essay exposes the articulation of the visual to a social process to analyze about politics and visuality. The article explores the dispute of meanings that takes place within the production of contemporary visual processes such as graffiti.
