Resumo:According to this article, the Ecuadorian international agenda can be updated only if changing environment of the international relations is taken properly into account. More specifically it is important to consider the currently world-wide ideology which derives from both the rigorous imposition of economic liberalism that emerged after the Fall of Berlin Wall, and the global anti-terrorist war that began after the September attacks. All this factors influences on the Ecuadorian Foreign Ministry's work with the international cooperation, and the bilateral and multilateral institutions. Finally, such themes as the strengthening of democracy, the fight against corruption, the relations between migration and human rights, should be included in the new foreign agenda.
