Summary:This essay reflects on the organization of the academic and research workshop on the challenges of the Public Accountant in the face of economic, tax and labor reforms by Covid-19. This initiative is contextualized within the activities of the 2019/2020 period, which represent a key element that enhances the learning of students in the Accounting and Auditing career of the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador, Esmeraldas Campus. The participants in this workshop were 105, including undergraduate and postgraduate students and speakers at the local, national and international levels. The topics were exposed through the virtual modality using the ZOOM platform as a tool. Among the results, it is made clear that this type of event with current issues enriches student learning. It is concluded that the speakers resolved the concerns of some topics that are taught in the classroom such as economic, tax and labor aspects that have been raised by Covid-19, as well as research topics.
